Wellbeing Counseling

At Brewster Madrid, we know that in order to learn, students need to be in a good place emotionally and socially. Because of that, we have a full time School Counselor to support our students on campus.

For us, wellbeing counseling is all about supporting students' mental and emotional health. Our goal is to offer a safe, welcoming space where students can talk about any challenges they’re facing: from stress to friendships, or personal issues. We are here to listen, understand, and help students work through their problems in a positive, solution-focused way. We like to call ourselves “professional problem-solvers”!.

Together, we explore strategies to overcome obstacles and build resilience, supporting growth in emotional intelligence and social skills, ensuring students feel supported and empowered to thrive both in and out of the classroom. We're here to help every student succeed and feel their best!

We also recognize the importance of teaming up with families, and when needed, external professionals to provide the best support possible. By collaborating as a team, we ensure that each student's needs are met in a thoughtful and caring way. We approach every situation individually with respect for privacy, always keeping the best interest of the student in mind while maintaining open communication. Together, we can help our students navigate challenges and thrive both personally and academically!

Our goal is that our students can access school counseling services when there is an obstacle in their way- so they can receive support in finding solutions for the difficulties they may be facing.

When families send their children to our school, they are trusting us with the most precious people in their lives. For us, this is a privilege, as well as a big responsibility. I firmly believe that in order to flourish, a young person needs to feel happy, safe and excited to come to school. Academic success and personal growth are much easier to achieve when those three boxes are ticked.
